  1. Answer phones for the HR department.
  2. Handle employment application intake.
  3. Assist with employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures.
  4. Assist with new employee orientations.
  5. Prepare job postings
  6. Maintain confidential personnel files and personnel actions.
  7. Respond to reference checks and verification of employment status.
  8. Assist the Generalist with HR projects.
  9. Assist with benefits administration.
  10. Assist with application pre-screening process.
  11. Support coordination of employee recognition activities, holiday party, service awards, luncheons, etc. Assist with department initiatives such as Wellness initiatives.
  12. Maintain and distribute list of new and cancelled employees under each benefit plan. Verify benefit billing accuracy and process for payment.
  13. Ensure compliance with USCIS form I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification; periodically audits Form I-9 and processes E-Verify.
  14. Ensure all government forms are current and complete.
  15. Assist with recruitment tasks as needed
  16. Maintain and processes all Unemployment notices of Entitlement and potential charges in a timely, efficient manner.
  17. Perform full cycle benefits administration, including claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment and communicating benefits information to employees.
  18. Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems.
  19. Process and track personnel status change forms.
  20. Participate in special projects as assigned.
