Key Responsibilities:

• Wrapping lumber with metal bands to secure them properly
• Lifting up to 50 pounds
• Follow all safety procedures
• Other duties as required
• Show up to work every day and on time

Lumber Yard Bander sorts, racks and bands lumber according to its grade markings and size. They too handle stocks, freight and other materials.

End tagging lumber using a pneumatic staple gun weighing approximately 2-4 lbs
Strapping lumber using a battery powered ratchet weighing approximately 6-8 lbs
Stacking plywood/ lumber by hand
Wrapping lumber via assembly line style wrap line
Able to work outdoors for long periods of time in all weather conditions
