On behalf of my client West of London I am recruiting for a Supervisor for a Full-Time position in a Manufacturing facility. The successful candidate would have minimum 1 year of previous experience in Manufacturing as a Team Lead/Supervisor and ideally CNC Lathe experience.

Work Schedule:
MAD Rotation – Monday to Friday

Supervisor Requirements:

  • Knowledge of CNC manufacturing machinery/assembly processes is required
  • CNC Lathe Experience is required
  • Knowledge of SPC/OPC
  • 6S Methodology to maintain a neat and orderly workspace
  • Automotive Production Facility experience is an asset
  • Knowledge of Labour Relations and the Collective Agreement
  • Knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Regulations
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Patience and the ability to listen to your staff
  • Ability to motivate and train others

Supervisor Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and provide direction, training, professional leadership and constructive feedback to hourly production staff on each shift; up to 50 people approximately
  • Promote safety and ensure quality in production department
  • Ensure a quality product through SPC/OPC problem solving and corrective action processes
  • Ensure inventory levels, customer delivery requirements, inventory levels and budget guidelines are met
  • Continuously look to improve and create lean efficiencies within your department
  • Conduct monthly Health and Safety talks with production staff
  • Participate in the recruitment selection and interview process
  • Ensure discipline, overtime distribution, and seniority meets Collective Agreement
  • Support process improvement and problem solving in the manufacturing process
