Our staffing agency is currently recruiting on behalf of an Anacortes seafood processing company seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Driver for their Dry Goods Department.
As a Forklift Driver, you will be responsible for moving, loading, unloading, and organizing dry goods and packaging materials used in seafood processing operations. This role plays a critical part in ensuring production teams have the materials they need while maintaining a safe and organized warehouse environment.
What you get to do:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently in warehouse and production areas
- Load, unload, move, and stack dry goods inventory and packaging materials
- Supply production departments with materials as needed
- Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips
- Store inventory in designated warehouse locations
- Perform routine forklift inspections and report maintenance concerns
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
- Keep warehouse and storage areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
- Follow company policies, food safety requirements, and OSHA regulations
- Assist with general warehouse duties as assigned
What you need to be successful:
- Previous forklift operating experience required
- Valid forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification
- Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, distribution, or seafood processing environment is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic inventory and warehouse documentation skills
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Schedule: Monday through Friday from 7:00PM to 3:30AM
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 (DOE)
