GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY:
This position provides direct support for hardware and software related to both PC and Mac computers and
related hardware and peripherals.
Identifies hardware and software needed to provide solutions to problems.
Assists in the customization and adaptation of existing programs to meet users'' requirements.
Installs and downloads appropriate software.
Connects users to networks and provides initial training on hardware and applications.
Setup user accounts, e-mail accounts, and other administrative duties when needed.
Ensures users'' efficient and effective utilization of applications and equipment by providing
self-help instructions and diagnostics.
Manages various housekeeping and reporting functions for the area of responsibility, including
maintenance of shared resources.
Use Helpdesk as well as verbal and written communication with end users.
Physically installs computers and related equipment, including appropriate wiring and cabling of
computing hardware and network components.
Provides initial support of software applications, including installation and configuration of
operating systems and other software.
Monitors computer hardware performance and diagnosis of faults.
Adjusts, repairs, and replaces worn or defective components.
Cleans computer hardware parts and machine interiors in accordance with manufacturer''s
Install and troubleshoot peripheral devices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Good attendance is an essential function of this job.
High School Diploma or equivalent.
A+ or other IT Certifications preferred
At least one year of related job experience and applicable vocational/technical training preferred.
Maintain valid driver license and insurable driving record for local travel between company locations.
Be well organized and pay close attention to detail.
