Counter Sales Manager

POSITION SUMMARY The counter sales manager provides over-the-counter direct sales to customers, takes orders in-person and by phone, and supports the overall success of store operations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS • Attend work every day, on time, as scheduled, unless management authorizes time-off. • Demonstrate courteous, respectful, and kind conduct toward every employee and customer. • Cooperate and coordinate well with coworkers and as a team member. • Provide exceptional customer service including assisting in determining parts needed, offering options to solve customer problems, and diffusing situations involving an upset or dissatisfied customer. • Research part’s availability through computer and catalogs for stock numbers, inventory status, and pricing. • Locate and pull parts for orders, check in, put up, straighten, dust, and rearrange stock as needed. • Handle cash and credit transactions; properly invoice/credit customer accounts. • Clean (pick-up trash, sweep, mop, etc.) and maintain inside and outside of building area. • Perform any other task as requested or assigned by immediate supervisor, his/her designee, or other management/supervisory employee. Operate a pallet jack when needed as well as a hand held scanner.
SKILLS & ABILITIES Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Experience: 1 year of parts experience Computer Skills: Working knowledge and skills in Windows-based operating systems.
Management experience required
Schedule: Mon-Friday 7AM-5PM with a rotating Saturday shift
