JOB OVERVIEW:

This position is primarily responsible for providing inside sales support and customer service to our customers, as well as making outbound sales calls to prospect for new business and increase business with current customers. Position would have responsibilities to revitalize specific dormant accounts and to further develop and maintain a number of assigned active accounts. Position would have authority to work through price negotiations with customers (within defined limits) and to effectively document and escalate customer complaints with appropriate departments for resolution. Position will be provided training on products and will involve visiting customers with outside sales personnel, attending trade shows, communicating marketing programs and facilitating new account enrollment. Position would be required to accurately update customer contact data base in a timely manner and support outside sales personnel.

 

This position is an intermediate level sales position, but more experienced sales candidates with an internal or external sales background are welcome to apply. This position has advancement potential and is best suited for candidates with the skillset and the drive to grow within the sales organization. Advancement in the Company’s sales organization may provide opportunities to relocate to a variety of places in the U.S.

                     

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

Associates degree or higher preferred (but not required). Minimum of (3-5) years of commercial sales experience in the customer sales support and/or experience in a sales distribution organization. Experience in the tire industry or related industries a plus but not required.

 

VERBAL AND WRITTEN COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Strong verbal and written communication skills. Professional, courteous and patient in all forms of communication. Ability to write emails, letters and other routine correspondence in a clear and professional manner.

 

COMPUTER SKILLS

Must be proficient at Microsoft Office products, (Outlook, Word, and Excel) and have familiarity with PowerPoint. Ability to learn other software as necessary.

 

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (including but not limited to)

Respond effectively to incoming sales calls as well as make outgoing sales calls.

Provide customer and administrative support for existing customers and actively prospect for customers

Accurately enter orders, process, track and follow up to order fulfillment,

Actively promote ATG products to customers

Respond to customer inquiries and requests as well as document and escalate customer complaints,

Provide product information –offer appropriate product substitutions

Support assigned outside sales personnel with regard to specified customers and provide general sales support to

sales team, as needed,

Consistently update and maintain customer contact database.
