Electrical Engineer/Project Manager

Design electrical systems for process control and data acquisition in hardware at varying levels of technical readiness from proof of concept benchtop systems to full scale prototype deliverable units.

  • Achieve electrical engineering operational objectives by contributing electrical engineering information and recommendations to projects and proposals; preparing and completing technical work plans; implementing production, productivity, and quality standards; resolving problems; identifying technology trends, determining administrative system improvements; and implementing change
  • Develop innovate new technologies, products, and services in response to private market and government agency demands
  • Determine potential funding sources for proposed innovations and solicit funding to support technology development and marketing
  • Plan engineering projects by determine specifications, establishing installation schedules, integrating electrical requirements with experimental plans and prototype designs, and updating cost estimates
  • Meet electrical engineering budget objectives by forecasting electrical engineering project requirements, preparing a project budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective action
  • Completes electrical projects by supervising installations, resolving design issues, and managing project staff
  • Maintain safe and health work environment by stabling, following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with codes and legal regulations
  • Update job knowledge by remaining current on codes and requirements, participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations
  • Accomplish engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Licensed Professional Engineer
  • Pay DOE, $60,000-80,000
