Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Residential Painter to join our team. This position is responsible for preparing and painting the interior and exterior of residential homes while maintaining high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, works safely, and is committed to delivering a professional finished product.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, and priming.
  • Paint interior and exterior residential surfaces using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment.
  • Protect floors, furniture, fixtures, landscaping, and other surfaces from paint damage.
  • Repair minor drywall imperfections and perform basic patchwork as needed.
  • Match paint colors and ensure consistent, high-quality finishes.
  • Clean and maintain painting equipment, tools, and job sites.
  • Follow all safety procedures, including ladder and scaffold safety.
  • Communicate professionally with homeowners and supervisors regarding project progress.
  • Complete projects efficiently while maintaining quality standards.
  • Load and unload materials and keep work vehicles organized.

Qualifications

  • Previous residential painting experience preferred (training available for the right candidate).
  • Experience with brush, roller, and airless spray application.
  • Basic knowledge of drywall repair and surface preparation.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding work, including climbing ladders and standing for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong work ethic, dependability, and positive attitude.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with residential spray painting.
  • Knowledge of different paint types, stains, and finishes.
  • Familiarity with pressure washing and surface preparation.
  • Ability to read work orders and estimate material needs.
