A large and highly respected Third Party Logistics Company in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking an experienced Inventory Control Associate’ bilingual in Spanish and English on FIRST SHIFT (8:00am - 4:30pm) to start immediately on a temporary-to-hire basis.

Position Summary

This position is responsible for maintaining and managing all inventory, parts, and/or products, including recording new items, within a warehouse or stock room. As an inventory clerk, you track products or materials that come into and go out of the inventory via inventory records. You'll be responsible for making sure things are stocked and stored in their appropriate places. If there are inventory issues, you might also be responsible for investigating inaccuracies. Because it'll be important for you to know your company's procedures on shipping, receiving, and other related procedures, attention to detail and good organizational skills will be necessary.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Run reports daily of items being unloaded in different warehouses
  • Monitor shelf life requirement for customers and make sure items are being shipped within the picking window
  • Communicate with the warehouse manager when items need to be sent to the distribution center to make sure items are shipping in rotation. (oldest lot needs to ship first)
  • Works with other inventory team members to conduct annual physical inventories for customers and perform other duties and projects as assigned

Requirements & Skills

  • High School Diploma
  • 3+ years’ experience in Warehouse Inventory, Shipping & Receiving operations
  • Experience Driving a Forklift/Cherry Picker is a big plus
  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS) software pacakge
  • Computer Data Entry Skills - Microsoft Office Suite - Excel and Word
  • Ability to read, comprehend, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, procedure manuals and inventory reports
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task on a regular basis. Strong sense of urgency and time management to meet deadlines
  • Ability to read, write, and speak fluently in Spanish and English languages is a big plus

Schedule

  • 8:00am - 4:30Pm, Mon - Fri
  • Saturdays and Extended Shift hours as demanded by business
  • Significant Overtime possible
