We're seeking an experienced Die Repair & Maintenance Technician to join a busy manufacturing team. In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for maintaining, repairing, sharpening, and troubleshooting production dies to ensure quality, efficiency, and uninterrupted operations. If you have strong machining skills, experience with precision measuring tools, and a commitment to quality workmanship, we'd like to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, repair, maintain, sharpen, and grind production dies
  • Examine die components for wear and damage to ensure tool integrity and performance
  • Operate manual machining equipment including lathes, mills, grinders, and other toolroom machinery
  • Manufacture and repair tooling components as needed
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and sample parts
  • Set up and adjust machine controls for speed, feed rates, depth of cut, and other machining factors
  • Run and evaluate test parts to verify die performance and product quality
  • Use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and gauges to verify specifications
  • Troubleshoot tooling and machining issues while collaborating with supervisors, engineers, and production personnel
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
  • Follow all quality and safety procedures

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous Tool & Die Repair, Die Maintenance, or Machinist experience required
  • Experience operating lathes, mills, grinders, and related machining equipment
  • Strong blueprint reading and inspection skills
  • Proficiency using micrometers, calipers, and precision measuring devices
  • Strong math and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to identify wear patterns and perform preventative die maintenance
  • Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
  • Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards

Physical Requirements

  • Frequent bending, stooping, stretching, and prolonged standing
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds throughout the shift
  • Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
  • Normal vision and hearing capabilities
