They are seeking an energetic yet mature worker to join their metal shop. The successful candidate:  Will be be willing to learn/know how to drive larger forklift to load trucks with pallets, fabricate and manufacture call type of items including  Strapped Steel walkway, Bar Grating etc.. Training will be provided for their specific product. they will also be cross-trained to use a large break press/shear (as a team) to prep product for welding, shipping or stock. Will be someone who wants to continuously learn and grow with the company. Should have forklift (SDCB) experience and be want to advance their skills (Able to certify forklift in-house) as well as using an overhead crane (yearly paid safety training as refresher) as well as basic work on punch presses/de-coilers among many other machines and tools. While the Ad says a bottom pay rate, that is for someone early on in their career... willing to pay for the right person, with the right attitude and long term goals. 

The shop: consists of 10 other workers who are mostly long term, for a small business feel; while being part of a large corporation with room for growth. There is very much opportunity for overtime. This is an ideal opportunity for Forklift Operator looking to get into the steel industry and gain manufacturing experience. You will learn new things every day, and be part of a team that is over 5000 days safe.

Notes:
-Reliable transportation required (No bus route)
-Working hours are 7-2:40 Monday - Friday. (Lunch is paid, and you leave 20 minutes early in lieu of other breaks) that is paid as an 8 hour day.
-Raise upon completion of probation period + generous Benefits/retirement/Quarterly production bonus and more. 
-Must be able to safely operate forklift with large heavy loads and have the ability to work safe while using power tools and other small/large machinery.
-Must be able to read a tape measure****** to 16th of an inch. as well as learning to use other QC tools like squares, and MFG tools like grinders/saws.   
-PPE supplied by the workplace, But need your own high ankle steel-toes (Boot allowance in affect after 1st year of employment)

Everyone in the shop gets fit tested for respirators (while they aren't worn on a regular basis) you must be willing to be clean shaven on fit-test day(s).
