Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking reliable and experienced Industrial Painter to join a local company in Scott City, MO. The ideal candidate will have experience preparing and painting industrial equipment, structures, machinery, and other metal surfaces while maintaining high standards for quality, safety, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding, blasting, and removing rust, dirt, grease, and old coatings.
• Apply industrial coatings using spray guns, brushes, rollers, and other appropriate equipment.
• Mix and apply paints, primers, epoxies, and other industrial coatings according to specifications.
• Inspect completed work for proper coverage, finish, thickness, and quality.
• Operate and maintain painting equipment and tools.
• Follow safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and respiratory protection.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow work orders, blueprints, specifications, and supervisor instructions.
• Work safely around industrial equipment, chemicals, heights, and other workplace hazards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous industrial painting experience preferred.
• Knowledge of surface preparation and industrial coating applications.
• Ability to operate spray-painting equipment.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, climb, and lift as required by the position.
• Must be willing to work overtime or different shifts when needed.
