Express Employment is currently assisting a Jonesboro medical facility with their search for an experienced Billing & Coding Specialist / Insurance Follow-up representative.

Job Description:

• Handle patient phone calls regarding billing, insurance, and account questions 
• Work patient accounts including filing, correcting, and refiling claims as needed 
• Follow up with insurance companies to resolve claim issues and verify coverage information 
• Maintain accurate account documentation while providing professional customer service
• Work on computer and medical computer programs
• Data Entry 
• Coding 
• Resolve billing and insurance issues efficiently while providing excellent customer service to patients
• Ensure claims are filed, corrected, and followed up on

Skills & Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent 
• Previous experience in a medical office or healthcare or healthcare setting 
• Previous experience with medical billing, insurance, claims or patient accounts 
• Strong data entry skills and computer skills are required for accurate account management 
• Experience using medical office software and Microsoft Excel 
• Attentive to detail 
• Must be organized 
• Ability to sit for extended periods 
• Regularly use telephones, printers, scanners, keyboards as part of the daily workload

Work Schedule: 8am to 5pm Monday - Friday 

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
