The Controller will serve on the senior leadership team, providing leadership, project management and supervision of the finance/accounting function. The primary responsibility is to supply financial and operating information to assist management and others in making decisions about the company's business. This position will also manage the day-to-day financial and managerial accounting activities, including: accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, credits and collections, payroll, inventory, fixed assets, cost and entity accounting. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for execution of all accounting functions.



  • Manage monthly, quarterly and annual close for organization
  • Ensure accurate and timely issuance of financial statements
  • With department managers and CEO the Controller develops budget for operations and to support short and long range plans, monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget
  • Responsible for accounting and control of capital assets other than invested assets
  • Lead profit improvement initiatives and find other potential savings for the company
  • Administer general and cost accounting activities in performing all general ledger functions
  • Manage the company's relationship and interface with independent accountants
  • Prepare summaries and forecast company business activity and financial position in areas of income, expense, and earnings based on past, present, and expected operations
  • Set benchmarks for measuring the financial and operating performance of departments
  • Oversee daily accounting functions GL, A/P, A/R, cash disbursement, and cash receipt
  • Perform analyses of general ledger liability and expense accounts
  • Responsible for accurate and timely report of inventories
  • Monitor cash flow, validate and process vendor invoices for payment
  • Prepare financial analysis for acquisitions, equipment and product investment decisions
  • Identify needs, draft and implement efficient accounting and record keeping processes
  • Direct financial and inventory audits and provide recommendations for process improvements
  • Represent the company externally to government agencies, banks and clients and investors
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate assigned staff
  • Assist with other administrative management including contract administration
  • Seeking out unsolved problems and taking initiative to address them
  • Collaborating teams across the company



  • Minimum 5 years of full cycle accounting experience in a manufacturing organization
  • BA in Accounting
  • Previous costing and inventory experience
  • Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections
  • Ability to negotiate with vendors for favorable pricing and terms
  • Good prioritization, organization, verbal and written communication skills
