Position: Payroll Coordinator

Summary: Prepare and process the hourly and salaried payrolls and the related tax and benefit filings and payments. Be responsible for the integrity of the payroll-related aspects of the HRIS system. Provide support for accounts payable and general accounting activities.
Responsibilities: Prepare and process the hourly and salaried payrolls on an accurate and timely basis and in accordance with applicable laws and LRC policies. Prepare and process all state and federal payroll-related reports and payments. Manage employee withholding, unemployment, garnishment and union due reporting, payments and reconciliations necessary to comply with all applicable laws. Prepare and process all payroll-related reports and payments associated with all medical, retirement and other benefits (e.g., HSA, 401K). Be responsible for the integrity of the payroll-related aspects of the HRIS System, including coordinating tax updates, monitoring processing activities and testing upgrades. Maintain professional payroll-related knowledge (e.g., tax law changes) and implement changes as needed. Assist with accounts payable processing including purchasing card transactions. Serve as a back-up to the Accounts Payable Coordinator. Assist with general accounting activities including cash reconciliations.
Requirements: Associate’s degree in accounting. Certified Payroll Professional credential is desirable. Experience in payroll, accounts payable and general accounting functions. Significant experience using an integrated resource planning system and Excel proficiency. Ability to work with confidential information.
