POSITION IS FOR 1st SHIFT MONDAY-FRIDAY 8am-5pm.
Duties Paint - Prepare a variety surfaces and apply paint. Materials may include, but are not limited to clear coats, paint, varnish, enamel, lacquer, and primers. Substrates may include, but are not limited to wood, metal, plastic and styrofoam. - Apply paint with a HVLP spray gun.
Oversee Work Orders and Product Quality - Follow production scheduling to meet on time delivery. - Communicate with other department personnel in establishing and carrying out responsibilities. - Maintain awareness of defined quality standards and importance of error free work.
Monitor the Work Area, Materials, Tools, and Supplies - Clean and maintain work area, tools and materials, order materials.- Use supplies and resources efficiently with limited waste. - Maintain safety guidelines. - Other duties as assigned.
Requirements Knowledge of: - Paint, materials and paint preparation - Interpersonal skills including listening, verbal and written communication - Artistic eye and ability - Knowledge of color and design - Measuring and math skills - Good work habits
Ability to: - Communicate with others - Solve problems and troubleshoot - Use the following Equipment: HVLP Paint Sprayer & Sander - Distinguish between colors -Measure and mix paint on premise with proprietary paint mixing station
Education and Experience (Any combination of education and experience, which would likely produce the necessary knowledge and abilities, is qualifying.)
- Two years of related painting experience or a demonstration of ability.
Large volume paint sprayer experience desired. - High School diploma or equivalent desired.
