Sanitation Specialist

📍 OMAK, WA | 💲$20.00/hour | 🕔 Monday-Friday (possible overtime when needed) | 3 Shifts available

Express Employment Professionals is helping a leading food manufacturing company recruit a Sanitation Specialist to join their team! What You'll Do

As a Sanitation Specialist, you'll play a critical role in keeping production equipment and work areas clean, safe, and operating efficiently. You'll also help train team members and ensure sanitation procedures meet food safety standards.

Responsibilities Include:

• Perform and oversee cleaning and sanitation of production equipment.
• Train operators on proper cleaning procedures and chemical usage.
• Conduct sanitation inspections and cleanliness audits.
• Assist with Clean-in-Place (CIP) processes and troubleshooting.
• Maintain sanitation supplies, chemicals, and cleaning tools.
• Complete sanitation documentation and ensure accuracy.
• Coach team members on housekeeping and 5S practices.
• Help maintain compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, and food safety standards.
• Participate in plant-wide housekeeping and sanitation initiatives.
• Support a safe, organized, and productive work environment.

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of food manufacturing experience (preferred, not required).
• Ability to read and write in English.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills.
• Mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food safety.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.

Physical Requirements

• Stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, and reach.
• Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Work around cleaning chemicals, food allergens, and wet or slippery surfaces.
• Climb ladders and work around production equipment as needed.

Schedule & Pay

• Monday-Friday
• Multiple Shifts available
• Some weekend flexibility may be required on occasion.
• Pay: $20.00 per hour
