Medical Billing / Coding Specialist

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Billing & Coding Specialist to support the financial and administrative operations of a healthcare office. In this role, you will accurately code medical procedures, process insurance claims, and help ensure timely reimbursement. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with healthcare records, maintaining accuracy, and contributing to quality patient care behind the scenes.

Duties:

• Assign accurate medical diagnosis and procedure codes using coding guidelines
• Prepare, review, and submit insurance claims for reimbursement
• Verify patient insurance information and benefits eligibility
• Review medical documentation for completeness and coding accuracy
• Follow up on denied or unpaid claims and resolve billing discrepancies
• Maintain confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Assist with payment posting, reporting, and other medical office administrative tasks
