Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Material Handler / Shipping Clerk for a local manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for coordinating incoming and outgoing shipments, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring materials are properly received, stored, and distributed throughout the facility.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare, package, label, and process outgoing shipments using FedEx, UPS, and other shipping methods.

• Pick, pull, and stage materials for production and customer orders.

• Receive incoming shipments and verify quantities against purchase orders and packing slips.

• Maintain accurate inventory records and process material transactions using an ERP system.

• Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading and shipping labels.

• Perform daily inventory cycle counts and investigate discrepancies.

• Process returned materials and assist with inventory adjustments.

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.

• Communicate material shortages, damaged products, and inventory concerns.

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

• Assist with additional warehouse and shipping duties as needed.

Qualifications:

• Previous warehouse, shipping, receiving, or material-handling experience preferred.

• 5 years of material-handling experience strongly preferred.

• Familiarity with ERP systems and basic computer applications.

• Knowledge of shipping procedures, inventory management, and warehouse operations.

• Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to accurately count, sort, and verify materials.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and perform duties involving standing, walking, and handling materials.

Work Environment:

This position involves working in warehouse, stockroom, and manufacturing environments. Candidates must be comfortable following established safety procedures while maintaining accuracy and productivity.
