Our client in Iowa City, IA is looking for multiple Bindery Operators!

Position Summary: A well-established leader in commercial printing, marketing, and mailing services is seeking a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Bindery Operator to join their production team. In this role, you’ll set up and operate a variety of bindery and mailing equipment to ensure the accurate, high-quality finishing of printed materials. This position plays an essential role in helping the production team deliver exceptional results and meet client deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up, operate, and maintain bindery and mailing equipment (e.g., folders, cutters, inserters, stitchers) according to job specifications and postal regulations
• Coordinate and schedule addressing, inserting, and sorting of mail pieces
• Monitor job quality to ensure all finished products meet company and client standards
• Troubleshoot mechanical and workflow issues as they arise
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment
• Maintain accurate production records and follow all safety and operational procedures

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in bindery, mailing, or print production preferred
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and general computer use
• Knowledge of USPS postal regulations is a plus
• Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality work

Hours:

• 8am–4:30pm
• Monday–Friday

Pay:

• $19.00/hour
