Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Control Inspector to ensure manufactured parts meet established quality standards, engineering specifications, and customer requirements. This position involves inspecting sheet metal and machined components throughout the production process, identifying defects, and maintaining accurate inspection records. The ideal candidate will have strong blueprint reading skills, experience with precision measuring tools, and a high level of attention to detail. This role requires collaboration with machine operators, production leads, and programmers to resolve quality concerns and maintain production standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect first-piece, in-process, and completed production parts for quality and accuracy.

• Perform first article inspections and verify parts against engineering drawings and specifications.

• Identify quality issues and communicate findings to machine operators, leads, and programmers.

• Inspect parts before plating, coating, and other secondary operations.

• Conduct spot inspections across multiple machines and production areas.

• Verify and calibrate measuring and inspection tools daily.

• Complete first article inspection reports and maintain accurate quality documentation.

• Identify, segregate, and report nonconforming materials.

• Assist with root cause investigations and corrective actions.

• Ensure compliance with customer specifications and internal quality standards.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives and assist with additional production tasks as needed.

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of quality inspection experience in a manufacturing environment required; sheet metal fabrication experience preferred.

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.

• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) preferred.

• Experience using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other inspection tools.

• Basic computer skills, including data entry, email, and quality documentation.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.

• Dependable with a strong work ethic and consistent attendance.

Work Schedule

• Monday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Tuesday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Wednesday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Thursday: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM

• Friday–Sunday: Off
