Computer Technician – 2nd Shift

Location: Onsite
Job Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 1:30 PM - 10:00 PM
Overtime: May be required based on business needs

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Computer Technician to join our team on 2nd shift. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in computer hardware, electronics, and technology. In this role, you will support the assembly, configuration, testing, and troubleshooting of computer systems and related equipment while gaining valuable hands-on technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and configure computer systems, circuit boards, storage drives, and other electronic components.
• Install operating systems, software, and peripheral devices.
• Perform testing and basic troubleshooting of hardware and system configurations.
• Diagnose equipment issues and follow established procedures to resolve problems.
• Document repairs, defective components, replacements, and build updates accurately.
• Maintain quality standards and follow detailed work instructions.
• Work closely with supervisors and team members to meet production goals.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and contribute to operational efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware and electronics preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn new technical skills.
• Ability to follow written instructions and work effectively in a team environment.
• Previous experience in computer assembly, manufacturing, repair, or technical support is a plus.
• A+ Certification may be required for certain departments.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Manual dexterity required for assembling and handling electronic components.
