Powder Coating

Position Summary:
The Powder Coater is responsible for preparing, coating, and finishing metal and other surfaces using powder coating equipment. This role ensures products meet quality, safety, and production standards through proper preparation, coating application, and curing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for coating by cleaning, sandblasting, masking, or pre-treating parts.

• Operate powder coating guns, booths, and curing ovens safely and efficiently.

• Apply powder coatings evenly to achieve the required finish, thickness, and color.

• Inspect coated parts for defects such as runs, sags, or thin spots and correct issues as needed.

• Maintain and clean powder coating equipment, spray guns, booths, and ovens.

• Follow production schedules to meet deadlines and quality standards.

• Handle and dispose of coating materials safely in compliance with OSHA, EPA, and company standards.

• Perform touch-ups, reworks, or stripping/re-coating when necessary.

• Keep work area organized, safe, and in compliance with company housekeeping standards.

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production and quality goals.
