Counter Sales / Front Desk Clerk

Position Overview

We are seeking friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Counter Sales / Front Desk Clerks to join a busy, family-owned business specializing in custom DTF transfers, apparel, crafting supplies, and other arts and crafts products.

This is a fast-paced retail environment where team members assist customers with purchases, process transactions, take orders, and answer questions about products. Several team members typically work at the front counter, creating a team-oriented atmosphere.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, has basic computer skills, and is comfortable staying active throughout the workday.

Key Responsibilities

Greet customers and provide friendly, professional service.
Check out customers and process purchases accurately.
Take customer orders and enter information into the computer system.
Assist customers with product questions and purchasing needs.
Operate a computer, keyboard, mouse, and checkout system.
Maintain an organized and presentable front counter.
Communicate with team members to ensure a smooth customer experience.
Assist with additional front-counter duties as needed.

Qualifications

Basic computer skills, including the ability to use a mouse, keyboard, and computer.
Friendly personality and strong customer service skills.
Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn.
Ability to work in a busy, fast-paced environment.
Comfortable multitasking and working as part of a team.
Previous retail or cashier experience is helpful but not required.
Training on the company's checkout and order-entry system will be provided.

Schedule & Work Environment

The store is open 7 days a week.
Availability to work at least one weekend day is preferred.
The store operates approximately 10 hours per day, allowing some flexibility with start and end times.
Specific hours will be discussed during the interview.
This position requires standing for most or all of the shift, so comfortable, supportive shoes are strongly recommended.
