Job Summary

Express Employment Professionals is seeking an experienced Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist for a six-month opportunity with a local employer in Klamath Falls. This role is ideal for someone who has previously worked in workplace safety and can help identify potential hazards, improve ergonomics, and support a safe working environment.

The EHS Specialist will work closely with employees and leadership to evaluate workplace conditions, conduct job hazard analyses, and identify opportunities to reduce workplace injuries. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with employees to promote safe work practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct ergonomic assessments and workplace reviews to identify potential hazards and recommend improvements.

• Perform job hazard analyses and safety assessments for various job functions.

• Identify potential workplace risks and recommend corrective actions to help prevent injuries.

• Review work processes and employee tasks to identify opportunities for improved safety and ergonomics.

• Partner with employees and management to communicate safety recommendations and encourage safe work practices.

• Assist with identifying trends or recurring safety concerns and recommend preventative measures.

• Support ongoing environmental health and safety initiatives and workplace compliance efforts.

• Document findings, recommendations, and follow-up actions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an Environmental Health & Safety, workplace safety, or similar role is required.

• Experience conducting ergonomic assessments, job hazard analyses, and safety evaluations.

• Knowledge of workplace hazard identification and injury prevention practices.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently while collaborating with employees and leadership.

• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.

Compensation & Schedule

• Annual Pay: $50,000–$70,000, depending on experience.

• Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM.

• Duration: Approximately six months.
