Logistics Coordinator (Temp-to-Hire)

Pay

• $24-$26/hour

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily shipping and receiving activities to support production schedules.
• Schedule and track inbound and outbound freight.
• Communicate with carriers, vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding shipments and delivery schedules.
• Maintain shipping, receiving, and inventory records.
• Prepare and review bills of lading, packing slips, and other transportation documents.
• Monitor material flow to ensure production and customer delivery deadlines are met.
• Assist with inventory control and reconciliation activities.
• Resolve shipping discrepancies and transportation issues in a timely manner.
• Operate a forklift and overhead crane as needed to load and unload trucks. While this will not be the primary function of the role, candidates must be capable of safely performing these duties when required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in logistics, transportation coordination, shipping/receiving, dispatching, or manufacturing operations preferred.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or steel environment is a plus.
• Previous forklift and overhead crane operating experience preferred.
• Ability to safely move and handle materials using powered industrial equipment.
