Our client is seeking a 3rd Shift Team Lead to support machining operations and ensure efficient production flow. This role will assist with Injection machine setups, monitor workflow priorities, support team training, and help maintain quality, safety, and production standards.

Position: Team Lead – 3rd Shift
Location: Mentor, OH

Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 7:30 PM – 6:00 AM

Pay:$24 – $26 per hour, based on experience

Responsibilities

  • Learn and assist with the setup of injection molding machines and measurement of finished parts.
  • Coordinate work order flow and prioritize production schedules to maximize machine utilization.
  • Manage pick lists and production priorities through effective communication with team members.
  • Verify materials are available, staged correctly, and match work order requirements.
  • Ensure programs are properly loaded on machines and match current revision levels.
  • Confirm fixtures, clamps, and stops are installed correctly prior to production runs.
  • Verify completion of daily machine checklists.
  • Support and sustain 5S initiatives, including organization, cleanliness, visual controls, and tool management.
  • Maintain organization of setup bins, tooling, and production materials.
  • Audit production computers and support proper system utilization.
  • Assist with developing and improving work instructions and documentation.
  • Train new employees on equipment, procedures, safety practices, and production requirements.
  • Conduct employee onboarding, workstation training, and skills documentation.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on safety, quality, efficiency, scrap reduction, and changeover improvements.
  • Train operators and setup personnel on machine setups, program changes, changeover documentation, and work-in-process procedures
