Site Supervisor

Location: Ardoch, ND
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Pay: Competitive salary based on experience

Lead the operation. Keep things moving.

Express Employment Professionals is working with a growing operation in the Ardoch area to find an experienced Site Supervisor to lead day-to-day activities at a busy material transloading site.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who enjoys being out in the field, working with a team, keeping equipment and operations running safely, and making sure the job gets done right.

If you have experience leading employees in construction, transportation, agriculture, manufacturing, trucking, or another hands-on environment, this could be a great opportunity to take the next step in your career.

What You'll Do

  • Lead and coordinate daily site operations, including unloading, trucking, train logistics and material handling
  • Assign work, coordinate schedules and provide direction to site employees
  • Lead daily and monthly safety meetings and reinforce a strong safety culture
  • Monitor employee performance and ensure company policies and procedures are followed
  • Help oversee CDL and DOT compliance
  • Assist with unloading and transportation of materials from transloading sites to customers
  • Monitor stockpiles and help keep material-handling operations organized and efficient
  • Conduct visual inspections of trucks, equipment and maintenance areas
  • Complete safety reports, incident documentation and other required paperwork
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and strengthen customer service
  • Work closely with management and customers to keep operations running smoothly
  • Jump in and help the team when needed. This is a hands-on leadership position, not a desk-only role.

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of leadership or supervisory experience in construction, trucking, agriculture, manufacturing, transportation or a similar environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Comfortable working with employees, equipment and customers
  • Working knowledge of DOT regulations and compliance
  • Strong basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic math for operational records and reporting
  • Valid driver's license
  • CDL Class A preferred, or willingness to obtain one within the first year
  • Dependable, safety-minded and willing to get involved when the operation needs it

The Environment

This is an active outdoor operation, so the right person should be comfortable:

  • Working outdoors in changing weather conditions
  • Walking, standing, bending and stretching throughout the workday
  • Working around heavy equipment, trucks and trains
  • Working around dust, fuel and other materials associated with transloading operations
  • Occasionally handling tools and materials weighing up to approximately 25 pounds

Why Consider This Opportunity?

This is a chance to take ownership of a local operation and lead a team, while still staying connected to the day-to-day work. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to use their leadership experience, operational knowledge and problem-solving skills in a role where they can make a real impact.
