Forklift Operator – Distribution

Location: Guelph, ON
Pay Rate: $19.00/hour
Shift: Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Job Type: Full-Time, Evaluation-to-Hire Opportunity

Our client, a busy food processing and distribution facility in Guelph, is looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join their distribution team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong Order Picker and Reach Truck experience who is looking for a long-term position.

What You'll Do

• Operate Order Picker and Reach Trucks safely and efficiently.
• Pick large full-case orders, including G01 and transfer orders.
• Replenish and stock shelves and product in the order fulfilment area.
• Load and unload trucks as required.
• Use RF scanners/handheld scanners to accurately record inventory movements.
• Stock and maintain overstock locations to ensure products can be picked efficiently.
• Assist with inventory control and inventory-related tasks.
• Maintain proper FIFO (First In, First Out) product rotation to ensure fresh product is shipped.
• Keep the receiving and work areas clean, organized, and free of debris.
• Work collaboratively with shipping and distribution team members.
• Work overtime as required to complete operational tasks.

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 2 years of recent forklift experience in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience operating Order Picker and Reach Trucks is required.
• Must have an external forklift certification/license that reflects Reach and Order Picker experience.
• Previous experience using RF scanners/handheld inventory scanners.
• Experience with order picking, loading/unloading trucks, and inventory movement.
• Ability to safely handle full-case product and work in a fast-paced distribution environment.
• Ability to work overtime when required.
