Robot Operator- Night Shift

ROBOT OPERATOR

Location: Houston, TX 77041
Pay: $17.00/hour
Full-Time

Night Shift: 5:30 PM–2:00 AM

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Robot Operator to set up and operate robotic welding and plasma cutting equipment in a machine shop/manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with robotic equipment, shop drawings, measuring tools, and production processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Review work orders and shop drawings to verify dimensions and material requirements.
• Set up workstations, fixtures, and robotic welding equipment.
• Set up and operate robotic welding and plasma cutting systems.
• Perform dry-run tests on initial pieces to verify setup and accuracy.
• Monitor robotic equipment during production.
• Inspect completed parts for quality and dimensional accuracy.
• Use measuring tools to verify finished products meet specifications.
• Complete required production documentation and sign off on finished operations.
• Follow all shop safety and quality procedures.
• Assist with material handling as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of machine shop experience with robotic and/or plasma cutting equipment preferred.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience operating robotic welding equipment preferred.
• Ability to read and understand shop drawings.
• Basic math and measurement skills.
• Experience using measuring tools.
• Familiarity with robotic control panels.
• Forklift and overhead crane experience is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 25 lbs. unassisted.
• Comfortable working around machinery in a manufacturing/shop environment.
