About the Role

Express Employment Professionals is hiring full-time Forklift and Material Handling Operators (1st and 2nd Shift) for a reputable industrial distribution facility in O'Fallon, MO (63366).

In this high-velocity role, you will have primary responsibility to safely manage warehouse inventory through the receiving and shipping processes, packaging product, and completing general labor duties as assigned. You will operate power industrial trucks, manually unload inbound containers, pull orders, transfer stock onto wood pallets, and track inventory using Warehouse Management System (WMS) scan guns. What You Will Do

• Inbound Unloading & Stacking: Manually unload product from inbound containers and transfer/stack items securely onto wood pallets.

• Order Pulling & Conveyor Sorting: Pull orders from warehouse storage locations and utilize conveyor systems for sorting and staging outgoing shipments.

• WMS Scan Gun Operation: Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS) scan guns to record product movements, complete daily paperwork, and track data accurately.

• Powered Equipment & Stacking: Operate forklifts to move stock safely while ensuring material is stored properly, blocked correctly, and secured to eliminate hazards.

• General Labor & Site Upkeep: Assist with packaging product, maintaining a clean work environment, and upholding strict safety standards.

What You Need

• Role & Industry Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar material handling role and warehouse environment required. Previous experience in the transportation or metals warehousing industry is preferred.

• Equipment & Tool Proficiency: Prior experience operating forklifts required. Hands-on experience with overhead cranes, track mobiles, and handheld RF/WMS scan guns is strongly preferred.

• PPE Requirement: Steel-toed boots required on the warehouse floor.

• Physical Capability & Focus: Ability to manually unload containers, lift product onto pallets, and pay sharp attention to detail.

• English Proficiency: Ability to speak, read, and write in English to navigate WMS scan guns, complete daily paperwork, and follow site safety instructions.

• Reliability: Rock-solid attendance, daily punctuality, and reliable transportation to O'Fallon, MO 63366.

• Screening: Willingness to complete standard pre-employment background checks and screenings.
