Job Title: Batch Maker II
Pay Rate: $25.00-$28.00/hour
Schedule/Shift: 1st Shift, 4:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Summary:
The Batch Maker II is responsible for safely and efficiently manufacturing chemical batches according to established formulas, quality standards, regulatory requirements, and standard operating procedures. This role supports production operations by ensuring product quality, troubleshooting process issues, maintaining accurate documentation, and assisting with training and continuous improvement initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Independently operate and monitor tanks, mixers, pumps, scales, and other processing equipment while following batch formulas and SOPs.
- Accurately weigh, measure, and add raw materials, perform in-process testing, and make process adjustments to achieve product specifications.
- Complete production logs, batch records, and documentation while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, GMP, OSHA, and regulatory requirements.
- Support troubleshooting efforts, root cause investigations, equipment issues, and process improvement initiatives.
- Train and mentor other batch makers while assisting with workflow coordination, material staging, and production activities.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Minimum 7 years of experience as a Chemical Batch Maker, Chemical Operator, or similar role in an FDA-regulated manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of chemical handling, mixing operations, industrial safety practices, and measurement conversions.
- Ability to read and interpret batch sheets, SOPs, technical documents, and complete production documentation in English.
- Forklift sit-down experience or certification required, or willingness to obtain certification.
