Industrial Maintenance Technician - 2nd Shift

Location: Edgerton, KS
Pay: $24.00/hour (more depending on experience)
Schedule: Tuesday-Friday, 4:00 PM-2:30 AM (4x 10's)

We are hiring an experienced Industrial Maintenance Technician for a food manufacturing facility in Edgerton, KS. This position is responsible for keeping production equipment running safely and efficiently through preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, and equipment setup.

This is a good opportunity for someone with several years of hands-on manufacturing maintenance experience who is comfortable troubleshooting mechanical equipment and working with electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair production equipment during active production
• Complete scheduled preventive maintenance on machinery and facility equipment
• Diagnose equipment problems and repair or replace components as needed
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Set up and prepare machinery for scheduled production runs
• Test equipment and make adjustments after repairs
• Read equipment manuals and work orders to complete maintenance and service
• Perform basic plumbing, carpentry, and general facility maintenance as needed
• Use hand tools, power tools, electrical meters, and material handling equipment
• Help minimize production interruptions and equipment downtime
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Follow facility safety and food safety procedures

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Experience working with production machinery
• Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders
• Experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical meters
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to work independently and respond to equipment issues during production

Preferred Experience

Experience or training in any of the following is a plus:

• Electrical troubleshooting
• Hydraulics
• Pneumatics
• PLCs
• Servo systems
• Preventive maintenance
• Food manufacturing equipment

Schedule is Tuesday through Friday from 4:00 PM to 2:30 AM.
