CNC Operator

Job Type: Full-Time

Schedule: Monday–Friday
Pay: $25-35 Depending on experience

Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join a manufacturing team specializing in the production of custom gaming tables and wood products. The ideal candidate will have CNC operating experience in a wood-shop environment, basic carpentry knowledge, and the ability to assist with assembly.

The right candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a production environment.

Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machinery in a wood-shop environment.
  • Create and work with 2D designs using CAD software.
  • Read and follow CAD/CAM designs and production specifications.
  • Use and understand general G-code.
  • Assist with the assembly of finished products.
  • Follow standard work procedures while maintaining a high level of quality and accuracy.
  • Inspect work to ensure products meet specifications.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to maintain efficient production.
  • Minimize material waste and production downtime.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
  • Follow all company safety procedures and safe work practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve production processes and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of machine/CNC operator experience required.
  • Experience operating CNC equipment in a woodworking environment.
  • General G-code experience required.
  • Basic carpentry knowledge required.
  • Ability to read and understand CAD drawings and designs.
  • Experience with 2D CAD design.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with CAMBAM and/or VCarve is a plus.
  • Experience with other CAD/CAM software will also be considered.
  • Experience with CNC mills and/or lathes.
  • Experience with woodworking, fabrication, or custom manufacturing.
  • Assembly experience.

Equipment

The position involves operating a Laguna SmartShop CNC machine with a 5' x 10' vacuum table.
