Order Picker / Cherry Picker Operator

Location: Plant City, FL
Pay: $18.00/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Training Schedule: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM for approximately the first two weeks
Overtime: Must be available to work additional hours as needed during busy periods

About the Opportunity

Express Employment Professionals is hiring an Order Picker / Cherry Picker Operator for a warehouse operation in Plant City.

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Previous experience picking orders using a Cherry Picker/Order Picker forklift is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick and prepare customer orders accurately and efficiently

• Operate a Cherry Picker/Order Picker safely throughout the shift

• Build, organize, and stage pallets for outgoing shipments

• Prepare orders for parcel, LTL, and truckload shipments

• Wrap and strap completed pallets as needed

• Verify picked items and quantities for accuracy

• Keep work areas clean, organized, and free of safety hazards

• Assist with other warehouse responsibilities when order volume is light

• Follow established warehouse and safety procedures

Requirements

• Previous warehouse or order-picking experience preferred

• Cherry Picker/Order Picker experience strongly preferred

• Comfortable working at elevated heights while using warehouse equipment

• Able to stand and remain active throughout the workday

• Able to regularly bend, twist, kneel, squat, and lift as required

• Able to follow instructions and work independently

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English for work and safety instructions

• Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are welcome

• Must be dependable and available for overtime when required

Safety Requirements

Safety equipment must be worn as required while working in the warehouse. A safety vest and/or harness will be provided.

Employees must provide their own ASTM-compliant safety-toe work shoes/boots that meet workplace requirements, including:

• Steel or composite safety toe

• Minimum 4-inch upper providing ankle coverage

• Puncture-resistant and slip-resistant soles
