Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focused Non-CDL Delivery Driver to join a team in Ashland, VA. This position is responsible for operating a 26-foot box truck or company cargo van to deliver products to customer locations throughout the region. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to safely load, transport, and unload products while maintaining delivery schedules.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate a 26-foot box truck and/or cargo van to complete daily delivery routes.
- Load, unload, and secure products to ensure safe transportation and prevent damage.
- Verify orders and delivery paperwork for accuracy before departure and upon delivery.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance concerns.
- Utilize GPS and route planning tools to complete deliveries efficiently.
- Provide professional and courteous customer service at delivery locations.
- Obtain delivery confirmations, signatures, and required documentation.
- Maintain compliance with company safety standards and all traffic laws.
- Communicate with dispatch and warehouse personnel regarding delivery updates.
- Assist with warehouse, shipping, receiving, and inventory duties as needed.
- Keep vehicles clean, organized, and fueled for daily operations.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Previous experience driving a box truck, cargo van, delivery vehicle, or route truck preferred.
- Experience making local deliveries and interacting with customers.
- Ability to read maps, follow directions, and manage delivery schedules.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy with delivery paperwork.
- Reliable attendance and ability to work independently.
