PRODUCTION ASSOCIATE

Fergus, ON | Full-Time | Contract with Opportunity to Hire
Contract through the end of the year with potential for permanent employment

Express Employment Professionals is recruiting on behalf of a local manufacturing company in Fergus, ON for a reliable and motivated Production Associate.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is punctual, dependable, eager to learn, and willing to jump in wherever needed. The successful candidate will work in a consistent, repetitive production environment and must be comfortable standing for extended periods and following detailed instructions.

What You'll Do:

• Inspect raw materials for quality before production begins
• Dispense production materials into the appropriate containers and equipment
• Complete rolling and processing tasks to develop finished products
• Operate production and support equipment and report maintenance concerns
• Assist with production paperwork, inventory, and movement of materials
• Perform equipment start-up and shutdown duties
• Complete quality checks and ensure proper product identification
• Ensure products meet established quality requirements
• Clean and maintain machinery and work areas
• Follow all health, safety, and housekeeping procedures
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and support staff
• Report production or quality issues to the appropriate personnel
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
• Perform other related duties as required

Robotic Cell Responsibilities:

• Monitor the robotic cell and alert management to any issues or abnormalities
• Help check, control, and diagnose automation as required
• Assist with optimizing production operations
• Maintain cleanliness and excellent condition of the work cell
• Follow all internal policies, procedures, and safety requirements
• Assist with procedures and work instructions
• Perform continuous quality control throughout the production process

• Excellent attendance and punctuality are essential
• Eager to learn and willing to take on new responsibilities
• Able to follow instructions carefully and consistently
• Comfortable with repetitive work and standing throughout the shift
• Able to remain alert and focused in a production environment
• Comfortable with light lifting of approximately 10 lbs
• Strong attention to detail and quality
• Reliable and willing to work as part of a team
• Previous manufacturing or production experience is an asset, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are important

Important Work Environment Requirements:

• Due to the nature of the production process, associates will be required to wear a Tyvek suit
• No contact lenses permitted
• Light lifting and repetitive production work
• Standing for extended periods

Reliable transportation is required as the location is not conveniently accessible by public transit.
