A Springfield-area manufacturer is seeking an Industrial Machinery Assembler / Field Service Technician to assemble automated machinery, perform equipment installations, and provide on-site service support for customers throughout the region.

What You'll Do
- Assemble, fabricate, install, and service automated industrial machinery and equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and specifications
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and identify effective repair solutions
- Install, test, and inspect machinery to ensure proper operation and performance
- Travel to customer facilities to perform equipment setup, repairs, and service work
- Communicate directly with customers regarding equipment operation and service needs
- Safely operate hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment
- Complete service reports and installation documentation
- Follow company safety standards and quality procedures
- Support continuous improvement efforts to improve equipment reliability and performance
Qualifications
- Previous experience in machinery assembly, equipment installation, industrial maintenance, fabrication, or field service preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Valid driver's license required
- Ability to pass background and drug screening requirements
Travel Requirements
- Travel independently or with a small installation team
- Perform equipment installation, startup, and service at customer locations
- Overnight travel may be required based on project schedules and customer needs
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, and move equipment and materials as needed
- Stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in industrial environments
- Use hand tools and equipment for extended periods
- Work safely around machinery and production equipment
