A leading chemical manufacturer in Southwest Chicago is seeking a motivated Industrial Mechanic to join their Maintenance team. This is a hands-on role for candidates who thrive in a fast-paced production setting.

 

Southwest Chicago | Chemical Manufacturing Facility

Hourly Position | Training on 1st Shift (30–60 days)

 

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical systems
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PMs)
• Follow safety procedures, including LOTO, confined space entry, and electrical protocols
• Work on 3-phase, 480V equipment
• Install/remove motors, starters, and breakers
• Collaborate effectively with peers and maintain a positive attitude
• Report to the Maintenance Manager and follow assigned priorities

Equipment Experience Preferred

• Conveyors
• Gearboxes
• Induction sealers
• Cappers
• Welding, machining, and fabrication experience is a plus

What We’re Looking For

• Strong time management and mechanical aptitude
• Basic math skills
• Solid written and verbal communication
• Bilingual skills are helpful
• Dependable and punctual — must be able to work 40–60 hours/week
