Supervisor – Food Services
The Food Services Supervisor provides daily leadership and oversight of food service operations at military dining facilities. Working under the direction of site management, this position coordinates the activities of food service employees, helps ensure efficient day-to-day operations, and supports a safe, clean, and professional dining environment.
The ideal candidate is a dependable leader who can effectively communicate with employees, maintain high standards, and help ensure food service operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of food service employees.
- Provide direction, support, and guidance to employees during daily operations.
- Assist management with scheduling, staffing, training, and employee performance.
- Help ensure food is prepared, served, and handled according to established standards and procedures.
- Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, and overall organization of dining and food preparation areas.
- Help maintain compliance with company, customer, safety, and food service requirements.
- Identify and address operational issues and communicate concerns to management.
- Assist with inventory, supplies, equipment, and other operational needs.
- Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented work environment.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned based on business and client needs.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequent use of hands and fingers, reaching, climbing, balancing, and other physical activities.
- Ability to regularly lift and carry 25–50 pounds, with occasional lifting of up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions, including hot, cold, wet, humid, and outdoor environments.
- May work around moving equipment, machinery, fumes, airborne particles, chemicals, and other workplace hazards.
- Ability to work in areas with varying noise levels, from quiet to very loud.
- Must have adequate vision for close and distance viewing, color identification, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
