About the Role

As the Technical Sales Partner, you'll serve as an extension of the Regional Sales Manager, supporting territory development, customer success, quoting, project coordination, order management, and business development initiatives.

You'll play a vital role in ensuring customers receive exceptional service while helping the company expand its market presence and deliver high-quality manufacturing solutions.


What You'll Do

Sales Support & Quoting

  • Prepare accurate customer quotes and pricing proposals
  • Gather material costs, lead times, and project-specific information
  • Collaborate with sales leadership to develop pricing strategies and customer solutions
  • Maintain organized quote records and supporting documentation
  • Follow up on open quotes and sales opportunities
  • Partner with engineering teams on tooling requirements and custom project estimates

Order Management & Project Coordination

  • Process customer orders accurately and efficiently
  • Review product specifications, pricing, technical drawings, and project requirements
  • Coordinate projects from initial order through production and final delivery
  • Serve as a key liaison between customers and internal departments to ensure expectations are met
  • Proactively identify and resolve issues to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction

Business Development

  • Conduct outbound prospecting to identify and develop new business opportunities
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective customers
  • Support customer retention and account growth initiatives
  • Re-engage dormant accounts and strengthen existing partnerships
  • Assist with strategic sales and marketing efforts designed to expand market share
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and customer activity tracking

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build long-term customer relationships founded on trust, responsiveness, and professionalism
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for customer inquiries and support needs
  • Lead virtual meetings, customer presentations, and facility tours
  • Represent the company at trade shows, networking events, and customer visits
  • Continuously expand industry and product knowledge to better support clients and identify opportunities

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Track sales activity, customer interactions, and territory performance metrics
  • Prepare reports and performance data for company leadership
  • Maintain organized sales records and documentation
  • Assist with continuous improvement initiatives that enhance customer experience and sales processes
  • Support special projects and cross-functional team initiatives as needed

What You'll Bring

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 years of experience in sales, customer service, manufacturing, business development, or a related field
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Exceptional customer service mindset
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business software
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and initiative

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in manufacturing, technical sales, industrial sales, or inside sales support
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems, production processes, or manufacturing operations
  • Experience with ERP and CRM systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or a related field
  • Experience reviewing technical drawings or supporting custom manufacturing projects
