A leading food production and packaging facility in the SW Chicago area is seeking experienced Butchers to join their team. This is a fast-paced production environment requiring skilled meat-cutting experience and a strong work ethic.
Schedule
- Shift starts at 4:00 AM
- Typical workday is 10-12 hours
- Regular schedule generally runs until approximately 3:30 PM
- Mandatory overtime, averaging 15 overtime hours per week
- Mandatory Saturday work
Job Responsibilities
- Cut and process pork loins according to production standards
- Maintain a minimum production rate of 25-35 loins per hour
- Inspect products for quality and accuracy
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety procedures
- Work efficiently in a high-volume production environment
Requirements
- Previous butcher experience is required
- Ability to consistently meet production goals
- Comfortable working in a refrigerated food production environment
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive cutting tasks
