Information Systems Support Specialist

Our client in Mentor, OH is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Information Systems Support Specialist to support business applications, enterprise systems, and operational processes within a growing manufacturing organization. This role serves as a key liaison between technology and business operations by providing application support, troubleshooting system issues, improving workflows, and training end users.

Key Responsibilities

Business Systems Support

• Provide day-to-day support for ERP systems and other business-critical applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application, workflow, data, and user-related issues.
• Assist users with system functionality, best practices, and business process questions.
• Coordinate with software vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve system concerns.
• Participate in system testing, upgrades, implementations, and enhancements.
• Maintain system documentation and application configurations.

Process Improvement & Systems Enhancement

• Analyze business processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency through technology.
• Support automation initiatives and workflow improvements.
• Document business requirements, procedures, and system changes.
• Assist with software implementations, integrations, and system enhancement projects.
• Partner with various departments to maximize the effectiveness of existing technologies.

User Training & Support

• Train employees on ERP and other business applications.
• Develop and maintain user guides, training materials, and process documentation.
• Provide ongoing system support and promote technology best practices.
• Create and maintain knowledge base articles and support resources.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2 years of experience supporting ERP systems, enterprise software, or business applications.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 applications, including Teams, SharePoint, and Power Platform.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to effectively support both technical and non-technical users.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Skills

• ERP and business application support experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Business process analysis and process improvement experience.
• System testing, implementation, and software upgrade support.
• Documentation, process mapping, and user training experience.
