Customization Shop Apprentice

Do you have fabrication and mechanic experience that you want to put to good use while working with a small team in a clean, well-stocked shop? Our client, a customization/fabrication shop, is looking for a new shop apprentice to join their team.

Job Highlights:

• Full-time, 1^st shift, Monday-Thursday 6:45am-4:00pm, Friday 6:45am-11:45am
• $20-26 per hour, depending on experience
• Clean, safe, and friendly work environment.

Job Summary:

As a shop apprentice, you will be assisting with building, distributing, and customizing power solutions. Duties may include loading and operating a brake press to bend metal, completing sub-assemblies, using forklift and overhead crane (once certified) to move parts, and using a variety of hand/power tools to test equipment.

Job Duties:

• Assist in fabrication and installation of custom parts
• Measure, cut, and build sub-assemblies for installation
• Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing stored materials
• Utilize forklift, overhead crane, and scissor lift (once certified on all), to move parts and equipment
• Use hand and power tools to test, troubleshoot, and repair parts
• Other duties within the shop as assigned

Shop Apprentice Job Requirements:

• Experience in fabrication, maintenance, or electromechanics required
• Experience with forklift and overhead crane required
• Ability to use a variety of tools (hand tools, electric, and pneumatic tools)
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to read, write, and understand the English language
