HR Generalist - Part Time

An established Boulder-area consumer products company is seeking an experienced Part-Time HR Generalist to support its employees and day-to-day human resources operations. This temporary, on-site position offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact in a collaborative, people-focused workplace.
The HR Generalist will support recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee communication, compliance, training coordination, and offboarding. The right candidate will be approachable, highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working directly with employees in both office and production environments.
What You’ll Do
- Support recruiting and hiring for production, warehouse, and other hourly positions
- Review applications, conduct initial candidate screenings, coordinate interviews, communicate with candidates, and confirm start dates
- Coordinate employee onboarding, including new-hire paperwork, Form I-9 support, and Paylocity setup
- Conduct check-ins with employees during training and onboarding
- Notify employees of benefit and 401(k) enrollment opportunities and assist them with the enrollment process
- Support benefits administration, including new enrollments, terminations, and invoice reconciliation
- Maintain a visible and approachable presence by walking through production areas two to three times each day
- Help identify and communicate workplace or safety concerns to the appropriate leadership team
- Prepare and post employee communications in breakrooms and participate in employee meetings as needed
- Assist with HR compliance, including required workplace postings, employment documentation, and hiring practices
- Respond to employee questions and appropriately escalate concerns when needed
- Coordinate employee offboarding, including exit interviews, separation letters, HRIS updates, and benefit terminations
- Transfer paper personnel records into Paylocity and help maintain accurate electronic employee files
- Organize HR records and establish sound practices for personnel, workers’ compensation, and investigation files
- Coordinate and track required employee training
- Participate in weekly HR support calls and additional check-ins as needed
- Assist with other HR projects and responsibilities as assigned
What We’re Looking For
- At least two years of progressively responsible human resources experience
- Associate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
- Working knowledge of recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, employee records, and general HR compliance
- Experience with Paylocity or another HRIS strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities accurately and meet deadlines
- Clear, professional, and approachable communication style
- Sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive employee information confidentially
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with employees and leaders at all levels
- Willingness to maintain a regular presence in both office and production areas
Position Details
This is a temporary, part-time, non-exempt position working approximately 20–25 hours per week. The position must be performed on-site in Boulder, Colorado. Specific workdays and hours will be discussed during the interview process.
Compensation and Benefits
The anticipated pay range is $28–$34 per hour. The final rate will be based on relevant HR experience, education, qualifications, and alignment with the responsibilities of the position.
This position is eligible for Colorado paid sick leave in accordance with applicable law.
