Welder – South Beloit, IL

We’re hiring an experienced Welder to inspect, repair, and weld large spirally welded cylinders to meet quality and safety standards. THis is a DIRECT HIRE role!

What You'll Do

Inspect welded cylinders for defects and make repairs
Perform flux-core welding and use cutting torches and grinders
Take accurate measurements and document repairs
Maintain welding equipment and tools
Keep your work area clean and safe
Follow all safety procedures and quality standards

Qualifications

Experience with flux-core welding (FCAW) required
Must be able to pass a 3G welding test
Welding experience with SMAW or SAW is a plus
Able to read and follow written and verbal instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Able to work independently and as part of a team

Physical Requirements

Able to stand, walk, kneel, stoop, crawl, climb, and work in various positions
Able to climb vertical ladders
Regularly lift up to 25 lbs., frequently up to 50 lbs., and occasionally up to 100 lbs.
Comfortable working around machinery, noise, fumes, dust, and changing weather conditions
Must be comfortable working at heights
