TIG Welder

Express Employment is seeking TIG Welders for the London, KY area. This position will require some travel so if you are interested in traveling and working for a great company this could be for you. 

Requirements:

• Setting up and preparing welding equipment, including TIG torches, gas regulators, and power sources 
• Selecting and preparing materials, inspecting and cleaning surfaces, and aligning metal workpieces before welding
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, welding symbols, and engineering drawings to ensure accurate welds 
• Operating TIG welding machinery with precision, controlling current, voltage, and gas flow 
• Performing welds according to specifications, ensuring joints are free from defects such as cracks, porosity, or incomplete fusion 
• Conducting visual inspections and quality checks, performing repairs or rework as needed 
• Collaborating with engineers to address issues with materials or assemblies, such as damaged ducts or components 
• Maintaining safety standards and proper operation of welding equipment 
• Training and supervising less experienced welders to ensure quality standards are met

Skills:

• Strong manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and attention to detail 
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and welding codes 
• Knowledge of welding equipment, filler rods, torch tips, and gas flow regulation 
• Physical stamina to work in various positions and environments, including standing for long periods and handling heavy materials  
• High school diploma or equivalent
