Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals in Waterloo is seeking Dining Hall Support Workers to assist with food preparation and dining service operations. These positions involve food prep, kitchen support, and customer service in a busy dining environment. Ideal candidates will be dependable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cut fruit and process vegetables for food preparation
• Prepare add-on menu items and assist with meal service
• Make pizzas and scoop ice cream
• Assist customers during meal periods
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines
• Keep prep and service areas clean and stocked
• Support daily kitchen and dining operations

Qualifications:

• Cooking or food service experience required
• Ability to follow food safety procedures
• Strong reliability and attendance
• Comfortable working with customers in a dining environment
• Detail-oriented and safety-focused

Equipment Used:

• Knives and cutting boards
• Food prep tools
• Pizza ovens
• Ice cream scoops
• Food service stations
• Standard kitchen equipment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for the entire shift
• Frequent repetitive food preparation tasks
• Ability to lift and carry food items as needed
• Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen or dining environment

Dress Code:

• Full-length pants with no holes
• Closed-toe shoes (non-slip preferred)
• Chef coat and hat provided
