Machine Builder / Mechanical Assembler

Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Pay: $25–$32/hr. based on experience

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Machine Builder / Mechanical Assembler to build and assemble automated machinery and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical skills, the ability to read blueprints, and hands-on experience assembling machines from start to finish.

Responsibilities

• Assemble and build automated machinery and mechanical equipment
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, drawings, and assembly instructions
• Install mechanical components, pneumatic systems, motors, drives, and other equipment
• Use hand and power tools to complete assembly, drilling, tapping, and fitting
• Measure and verify parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools
• Align, adjust, and test machinery to ensure proper operation
• Troubleshoot mechanical and pneumatic issues during the build process
• Make necessary adjustments and modifications to ensure proper fit and function
• Perform basic electrical connections and wiring as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
• Work independently while meeting production and project deadlines

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Machine Builder, Mechanical Assembler, Machine Assembler, or similar role
• Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on assembly experience
• Ability to read and understand mechanical blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience with pneumatic systems and mechanical components
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments
• Experience with drilling, tapping, fitting, and alignment
• Basic electrical knowledge is a plus
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve mechanical problems
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed

Ideal Candidate: A mechanically skilled individual who can take a machine from a blueprint and build, assemble, align, troubleshoot, and test it from start to finish.
